ARIZONA NANOTECHNOLOGY CLUSTER TUCSON SEMINAR SERIES

The next Arizona Nano Cluster meeting is set for Thursday, May 22, 2008 beginning at 5:45 pm in the UA AME Building room N715 (directions at end).
Title: "The need for new sensors that are not commercial available" (for hazardous and military environments.)
The two main speakers are:
Grant Anderson VP Engineering Paragon Space Development Corporation Aladin Sayed Engineering Fellow Raytheon
Each will be giving a short talk about there needs for new sensors that are not at this time commercial available, they will be including:
1) The working environment for the sensors (space, underwater, high g's) 2) The types of sensors they need 3) Special needs, (long live, low power) 4) Overview of there company or group 5) Areas of research that they would like to encourage 6) Any SBIR/STTR areas that they would like to support.
If you are working in the sensor area and would like some time (5 to 10 min) to update everyone on you work, please let me know and I will add you to the agenda.

ATTENDING THE Tucson MEETING The meeting begins at 5:45 pm with the speaker starting at 6 pm in the University of Arizona’s AME (Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering) Building, room N715. This building is at the NE corner of Speedway Blvd. and Mountain Ave. (1130 N. Mountain Ave.) The parking lot on the east end of the building is free in the evenings (after 5pm).
From I-10 go east on Speedway 1.8 miles, Left onto Mountain Ave, then after 1 block right on to Helen. The parking lot is ½ block on right.
From the parking lot, walk west down the center courtyard of the AME building, on the far west end there will be an elevator though the double doors on the right. Take this to the 7th floor.
